Leezy's Slice Of Life Blog came from a regularly published award winning column I wrote for Northwest Media for several years. It is what it says "a slice of life" mostly a humorous take on married life with my spouse. When my husband died in 2008, I lost 90 percent of my material, along with any desire to keep the column or blog going.
Fast forward to 2012. I've had an interesting year and a half. My dad died in December of 2010, I was diagnosed with uterine cancer in April of 2011, went through radiation that summer, and had surgery in November of 2011. Because of my health situation I moved from my home of almost 40 years, officially retired from my job of twenty years in March of 2012, and finished six months of chemotherapy the end of April. Before you start playing an air violin and rolling your eyes, I tell you all of this not to whine or for sympathy, but because through it all some pretty funny things happened. I'll be sharing those experiences a little at a time, along with odds and ends of other things, stories, opinions (my favorite!), and whatever else comes to mind in a snap.
